1841 1d Red, a VFU single, with four clear-to-LARGE margins, on neat envelope Bramham to Leeds (via Tadcaster) on 9 June 1852, cancelled with Tadcaster '772' numeral. Neat SCARCE BRAMHAM UDC on reverse. Printed on SCARCE THICKER LAVENDER-TINTED PAPER, the lavender tint showing clearly within the Queen's profile. Statham specifically excludes this plate from the Lavender printings, and it is RARE. Corners recut, and letters misplaced low. Cat.275++ (for UNPLATED stamp OFF cover). 85.00
